Description
Carding knives by Akko Strippers, also called “Palettes,” do not damage or break the coat.
They look like paddles, with a wide flat blade and closely spaced teeth. This type of blade is used to slough the dog’s coat, removing excess fluff or undercoat, using the “Carding technique.” Their use should be done by holding the blade almost flush with the skin. They are used on Spaniels, to make the coat adherent, or on hard-coated dogs at the end of Stripping sessions, in trimming work or to remove lint still present, or dead coat on short-coated breeds.
They are not sold individually.
