The peculiarities and differences between Toothed scissors, Chunkers, Blenders, Super Blenders, Fluffers
TOOTHED: In Toothed or Thinning scissors, teeth are present on both blades. They are mostly used on dogs with thick undercoat, to thin out the mass of hair from the inside.
CHUNKERS: Chunkers scissors are composed of a solid blade and a serrated blade. They are characterized by the wide and normally "T" shaped tooth; the end of the tooth is flat and without slots. If they have fewer than 25 teeth, they can be used to create lines on curly hair; if they have a number of teeth greater than 25, they are suitable for pre-finishing, always on curly coats.
BLENDERS: Blenders scissors are composed of a solid blade and a serrated blade. They are characterized by the fine tooth, which has one or more grooves (Slots) on its end. They are used for finishing and to create a natural effect on straight hair.
SUPER BLENDERS: Super Blenders scissors are made up of a solid blade and a serrated blade. They are characterized by the wide tooth, which has several grooves (Slots) on its end. Used to create the line on straight hair and double coats.
FLUFFERS: Fluffers are the latest scissors, with teeth on a single blade, wider than Blenders, but narrower than Chunkers; the space between the teeth is uniform along their entire length, from their base to their end and the design is defined as "piano teeth". They are reversible and therefore can be used both with the teeth up and down. Excellent for working quickly on large surfaces, because the wide blades remove large masses of fur with a single cut. Perfect for soft fur, to which they give a natural finish.
