BLACK PUMICE STONE “AKKO NAUTILUS”:

In the Akko Scissors line, pumice stones have been selected to meet all the practical needs of groomers for Hand-Stripping.  Particularly suitable for selectively removing undercoat and secondary woolly hair, typical of Spaniels and breeds with similar coats. Also suitable for finishing hard and wire coats to perfect the woolly undercoat.

Only hard-grained (or “coarse”) pumice stones are offered, as soft-grained (or “fine”) ones have a strong tendency to crumble during use, excessively dirtying the dog’s coat. Akko Scissors pumice stones are all characterized by their hardness, which minimizes crumbling and leaves little residue on the coat, easily removed with a quick pass of the blaster at the end of the stripping session.

The stones in our catalog differ in porosity (the more porous ones are more suitable for thick coats and hard hair, while the less porous ones are more suitable for finishing), shape (which can be further shaped to fit the operator’s hand), and color.

The Akko Scissors range consists of 3 types of pumice stones:

BLACK PUMICE: small stone with a regular shape and slightly porous texture.

BROWN PUMICE: a large stone with an irregular shape and fairly porous texture.

GRAY PUMICE: a fairly small stone with a regular shape and not very porous texture.
