AKKO 6 mm Wide Steel Slide-On A5 Guide Comb

Description

The Akko Slide-On 6 mm Wide  Guide Comb is a professional grooming accessory designed to deliver precise, even and safe clipping results. Thanks to its practical Slide-On attachment system, it can be easily fitted onto a compatible clipper blade, providing a secure hold throughout the grooming session and smooth, consistent gliding even during demanding professional use.

The 6 mm size is ideal for achieving a short, neat finish, making it perfect for regular coat maintenance and for clipping the dog’s body while maintaining an even overall appearance. It is a popular length among both professional groomers and pet owners who want to keep the coat short and manageable without completely shaving it down.

The Akko Slide-On 6 mm Wide  Guide Comb performs best on coats that are clean, completely dry and thoroughly brushed out. Before clipping, it is essential to remove any tangles, mats and excess undercoat, as comb attachments work more accurately when the coat has been properly prepared. Dirty, tangled or matted coats can reduce cutting efficiency and interfere with the smooth movement of the clipper blade.

This comb attachment is particularly suitable for dogs with curly, wavy, woolly or soft, dense coats, including Poodles, Bichon Frisé, Lagotto Romagnolo, Cockapoos, Labradoodles and many other Doodle crosses. The Akko Slide-On Wide 6 mm Comb Attachment provides a fuller finish than a shorter 3 mm attachment, leaving more coat length and creating an even, soft and easy-to-manage result.

The 6 mm length is widely used for maintenance trims, puppy cuts and teddy bear styles, where the aim is to keep the coat relatively short while retaining enough length to enhance the coat’s natural texture. It can also be used on straight or silky coats, such as those of Maltese, Shih Tzu and Cocker Spaniels, provided the coat is correctly prepared before clipping.

On curly and continuously growing coats, the 6 mm Akko comb attachment provides a balanced finished length, making daily coat maintenance easier without completely removing the coat’s natural volume. As with all comb attachments, the final result will depend on the coat preparation, coat density, texture and the groomer’s clipping technique.

Made from durable, hard-wearing materials, the Akko Slide-On Wide Comb Attachment is designed to provide reliable performance even under intensive professional salon use. Its teeth promote smooth movement of the clipper blade, helping to minimise snagging and contributing to a clean, even finish.

For optimum performance, it is recommended to use the comb attachment with a properly sharpened, clean and well-lubricated clipper blade. The final result will also depend on the individual coat structure, coat density, clipping technique and overall preparation of the coat.

Choosing the Akko Slide-On 6 mm Wide  Guide Comb means relying on a practical, precise and professional grooming accessory designed to provide comfortable handling and consistent results across a wide range of coat types. It is the ideal solution for groomers looking for quality, reliability and an impeccable finish in every grooming session.
